This weeks tip comes from one of our associates. As we have said before, and will say again, watch the clock and know your standards. Our associate was in the unique position of testing on both the Level I and Level II Fire Alarm CBT test on the same day. Unfortunately, he had not subscribed to this newsletter nor used any of our training materials and he failed the Level I test but passed the Level II test. After many conversations, we concluded that lessons learned while testing for Level I helped him pass Level II. His key advice is: watch the clock. He ran out of time on the first test because he was looking up all of his answers. When it came to the second test, he made an educated "guess" on material he was familiar with and only looked up answers he needed. During the test, you can mark questions for review and come back to them later if you have remaining time. Remember to use these tools.

As for customers who are still testing in the Work Element format. The same holds true. Watch your time, look up answers when you have to but use your knowledge to answer and move through the information as quickly as possible.

Hope these tips will help you - know your standards, know the key material and succeed on your NICET exam.

INTERESTING FACT
As early as 1913 a study showed that only 5 people had died in fires where sprinklers were on the property. Since that time, many more lives have been saved by this invention.
