Fire Tech Tips - Dec. 16, 2010 In July 2010, Craynon Fire Protection (CFP) received a call from Korte requesting an interview to be a potential sprinkler sub-contractor on the new Caterpillar Distribution Center in southern Ohio. I’m sure you can guess how CFP responded! What CFP did next is the type of marketing that gets your company noticed. Korte said they were going to fly into Dayton, OH and interview Dave Craynon and his staff. Dave wanted this to be a memorable experience. He wanted Korte to know that CFP was ready and willing to do what was needed. You can see from the welcome sign photo above what Korte had waiting for them. Do you think Korte felt an immediate connection with CFP? Do you think the folks at Korte had a hard time finding the building they were visiting? Although Korte did not win the Caterpillar contract, they were very impressed and said they would be interested in using Craynon Fire Protection for other local projects. What can you do to get your customer to remember you?
